It was rotten of President Sarkozy to exclude an invitation to Queen Elizabeth!

Both the Queen and Prince Phillip were serving in WWII when Obama’s mama was still in diapers. In fact, I believe, Elizabeth is today, the only living head of state who actually served in uniform during World War II.

Many of the current heads of state aren’t worthy of being in the same company as the magnificent men and women who served in wartime. If, once, they ever educated themselves enough to know and realize and respect the sacrifices of those who came before, in their greed and preening self regard, they have forgotten it, now.

Leeches, many of them!

The 65th D-Day observation was not scheduled as a formal international event, like the 50th and 60th.

TOTUS made it one with his last minute (maybe two week) notice that he was coming on his way back from the middle east. That would have been fine until PM Brown decided he wanted to come.

You just don't issue invitations to heads of state (The Queen) unless you know they can say yes. With time running out, the invitation was given to The Prince who could make it.

Look, Sarkozy and Merkel and most of EU are not happy at all with Osama dropping in like a peasant and making populist appearances all over the Continent.
