N. Korea's Kim Jong-nam May Defect to China [Japanese Newspaper]

(Tokyo = Yonhap News) Choi Irak =

Kim Jong-nam, Kim Jong-il's eldest son, is currently staying in Macau, and could defect to China, Sankei Shimbun in Japan reported on June 5, quoting intelligence sources.

According to the paper, the purge of Kim Jong-nam's associates has started as a part of rapidly laying the foundation for Kim Jong-un as the successor.

N. Korea's State Security Department detained several associates of Kim Jong-nam around 8pm on Apr. 3 in Pyongyang. Upon hearing the news, Kim Jong-nam investigated on the situation of his associates. When he learned that more associates were detained on Apr. 7, Kim Jong-nam thought that this is the purge as a part of succession process, and decided to stay in Macau.

On Apr.4, during his conversation with his No. 1(?) wife living in Beijing, he told her, "Last night a friend of mine from my school days has been arrested." On Apr. 7, he telephoned an associate in another country and said, "Lately people around me are being detained by State Security Department. Some disturbing events are happening one after another. I won't go back to Pyongyang for a while."

N. Korea's ruling Worker's Party notified their decision to install Kim Jong-un as the successor, but China refuses to go along with it, demanding that N. Korea stops hereditary rule, pursues reform and open-door policy, and gives up its nuclear weapons.

That is the problem isnt it?

I would imagine for sure he no longer has that phony Dominican Republic passport the Japanese got at Narita.

And his DPRK documents, if he has them, will become invalid.

If he gets a PRC passport, I wonder what travel restrictions he will have. They will NOT want him traipsing off to Europe or US to gives at seminars entitled "Chia Pet: My Dad".

I do wonder what kind of passport his is on these days in Macao.....

The eldest son (below) is actually anything but "queer". I am sure you have this confused with Kim Jong Chol, the Second Son. HE is the one with the "hormone issues."

KIM JONG NAM

Just remember everyone what America’s glorious leader told the world today. There is no difference between America and any other nation in the world. We are all the same.

I must concur. Macau is a great place to be if you’re male, hetero, and have some means. It’s not a big center for gays.
