Which their courts do enforce
Did I miss the Chicago gun ban laws being overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court? Or for that matter, the Nebraska Supreme Court overturning gun laws, such as they were, there after the people added a very explicit RKBA provision to the state Constitution.
I didn't miss anything, since none of those happened.
Subject only to the police power, the right of the individual citizen to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Section 22, Article I of the Illinois Bill of Rights
All persons are by nature free and independent, and have certain inherent and inalienable rights; among these are life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and the right to keep and bear arms for security or defense of self, family, home, and others, and for lawful common defense, hunting, recreational use, and all other lawful purposes, and such rights shall not be denied or infringed by the state or any subdivision thereof. Nebraska Constitution art. 1, sec. 1.
The Nebraska RKBA provision has been in force for around 23 years.
