And wasn’t it Arafat’s uncle who headed up the muslim contingent of Hitler’s final solution?
“And wasnt it Arafats uncle who headed up the muslim contingent of Hitlers final solution?”
Perhaps, although I think you might be thinking of Saddam Hussein. Although I think it was Hussein’s dad(?) that worked with the Nazis as a young man. The British had control over Iraq at the time as a colony.
“Egyptian-born Yasser Arafat [xlii] meets Amin Al-Husseini at age 17 and starts to work for him. Amin Al-Husseini allegedly great-uncle of Arafat, whose real name is Mohammed Abder Rauf Arafat Al-Kudwa Al-Husseini. Arafat reportedly changed his name intentionally to disguise his connection to Amin al-Husseini.”
You are correct. The “Grand Mufti” in the photo on 411 is Amin Al-Husseni. I know that Saddam Hussein was also connected in some way.
One last result from a search:
“Saddam came from a family of poor farmers. His father seems to have disappeared soon after he wa born. The biggest influnce on his life, however, was his uncle who took him in after Saddam’s father disapperaed. He was inspired by his uncle Khayrallah Tulfah, an Iraqi army officer and crusader for Arab unity. His uncle was arrested by the British during World War II for NAZI sympathies.”
