I'd love to keep the riffraff out of this state, but they are not coming from Massachusetts, for the most part. Our two southernmost counties adjacent to Masshole-chews-its (Rockingham and Hillsborough) are the most conservative in the state because they are filled with people (like yours truly) who moved here in the '90s to escape from the insanity. The liberal locusts mostly come from New York, New Jersey, Vermont, and Maine. Some certainly have immigrated from Mass. of course, and are immediately recognizable by their driving skills, or lack thereof.
