It would if these people had any beliefs at all except ‘If it feels good, do it’. They have long ago lost their faith, or they wouldn’t be doing what they are doing.
I agree. And that is very sad. The Day of Judgment will be a shocking reality and there will be no do-overs. Man cannot say that he did not know. Not only do the Heavens declare the Glory of God, but as is well said in:
Romans 1:19-21 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
I agree with you that man's tendency is to live by the creed "If it feels good, do it' ... Focused on things that are mere wisps of fog. Here a moment, and then gone. And not focused on the eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
