LONEGAN CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCES NEW TV AD: CHRISTIE’S TAX FANTASY
ORADELL, NJ – Mayor Steve Lonegan, the conservative Republican candidate for Governor, is running a new television ad hitting back at Chris Christie’s tax plan.
“Chris Christie says he is going to cut taxes but has offered no specifics about how he’ll do it. That’s why the Star Ledger called it “a fantasy.” This is what I’ve been saying all along. When you look at Christie’s plan, the numbers simply do not add up,” Lonegan said.
“My proposed $2.7 Billion tax cut will be the biggest tax cut in New Jersey history and lead to sustainable economic growth,” Lonegan added. “I will slash income taxes and implement a 2.9% flat tax, cut property taxes by 20% and we’ll do it by eliminating Billions in liberal spending that’s come out of Trenton.
“Christie continues to prove that he has no real plan and, if elected, will not bring about true change to New Jersey. Chris Christie represents more of the same failed leadership of the last 8 years. We need a real conservative Republican who understands how to best repair New Jersey’s economy and get businesses coming back to our state. And when elected, that’s exactly what I’ll do.”
