Atlanta - “The decision by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to deny preclearance of Georgia’s already implemented citizenship verification process shows a shocking disregard for the integrity of our elections. With this decision, DOJ has now barred Georgia from continuing the citizenship verification program that DOJ lawyers helped to craft. DOJ’s decision also nullifies the orders of two federal courts directing Georgia to implement the procedure for the 2008 general election. The decision comes seven months after Georgia requested an expedited review of the preclearance submission.

Well, what’s the point of elections then?

If ACORN can march any “world citizen” into a voting booth to select our leaders, then we have no nation.

I hope Georgia has the guts to go ahead and keep using this process. On a related note, ALL states should separate their elctions for national offices from their elections for state and local offices. It will be a lot harder for the feds to meddle with state-only elections, and the states need to have a secure, citizens-only election process in order to vote on secession and other matters related to the state’s relationship with the federal government.

Take DOJ back to the same courts that ordered them to implement this procedure.

Looks like they’ve sewn up the fraudulent election tactics quite nicely. Their insurance in keeping offices stolen...

The only solution is for the states, is through peaceful rebellion. It is way past time to push back...ignore....foot-drag.....boot the wheels of big government!

Didn't the SCOTUS recently rule in favor of a state's requirement that voters be required to show ID at the polls? If that happened the same logic could be used to support being required to prove citizenship,IMO.It's not tough at all to prove citizenship....presenting a birth certificate...naturalization papers...a US passport.

Just say no to the feds. It is none of their business what Georgia does or does not do in regards to elections. The states are just going to have to grow a pair and start telling the feds to take a hike.

The requirement for voter verification was placed before the voters and overwhelmingly approved. Since then it has been challenged and upheld in the courts. Under what authority does the DOJ come in and tell the state that it must do otherwise?

The same DOJ did this. Voter Intimidation Case Dropped. I sense a pattern.

Yet military ballots can be thrown out without just cause and the “homeless” in Ohio can count their park benches as “addresses” for voting registration purposes. I wonder if we’ll ever have a free and fair election in this country again.

Isn’t this JUST great?!?!?!

I have an idea.
let the republicans get up on a platform and say that anyone who votes for them can have free everything!
Then republicans will get back into office and not have to keep their promises.

It is working for the democraps!

Holder and company fear their past work to falsify votes in Georgia and elsewhere will be stopped. Holder is the criminal in chief at the ‘justice department. Perhaps we can now rename it The Department of Injustice with yet another affirmative action commie appointed by the affirmative action figure fraud-in-chief. THIS is the change democrats voted for ...
