The search is near fernando de noronha,brazil. That’s an island over 300 miles off the coast. Extremely unlikely that fuel or weather is a factor as that’s only about 2 hours into the flight and well into the cruise phase. The lack of communication means whatever happened was probably sudden.

People said lightning and a possible power loss but two hours out they should have been above the weather. Any idea how high this Airbus cruise.

God help these poor people.
