U.S. team to speak more about N. Korea than listen: Seoul officials
Lee Chi-dong
SEOUL, June 1 (Yonhap) -- An inter-agency team of ranking U.S. officials, on a rare tour of Northeast Asia, is expected to "talk" more about the Barack Obama administration's stance on North Korea than "listen to" those of other regional players, officials here said Monday.
The delegation, led by Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg, arrived in Tokyo on the weekend before visiting South Korea, China, and Russia. It also includes Stephen Bosworth, special representative for North Korea policy, Treasury Undersecretary Stuart Levy, Wallace Gregson, assistant secretary of defense for Asian Pacific affairs, and Jeffrey Bader, senior director for Asian Affairs at the National Security Council (NSC).
Maybe they want to quell the perception in E. Asia that Obama has no real N. Korean policy. However, having a policy also concerns me, too, because it may turn out to be an 'well-thought-out appeasement policy.'
Ping!
Maybe it’s an apology for America.
Well talking...ha, lot of good that will do. Just promise to blow their missile out of the sky and we may have something to talk about...
Worthy of note:
The great 0 has more to say about the Tiller murder than he has about N. Korea.
I’m glad he has his priorities as President worked out.
It may be that they (DPRK) will launch from the West Coast this time, even risking first stage landing on their own soil or some kind of mishap, to get it up and over the Sea of Japan with a longer trajectory either toward Alaska or Hawaii, the range being increased as well as the elevation being greatly elevated to bring it up out of range of PAC-3 and other Allied Missiles in the Japan region. TLR and I were theorizing the other day as to which direction they would actually launch if it is coming from Dongchangri.
I find not amusing that Chia Pet want go after my former hood Alaska
