I have noticed a trend through the various FR posts recently of defensive sentiments like this. Oh woe is us. We’ll be less popular.
Either the posters are depressed - which could be so - or they’re plants to sew defeatism.

My condolences to the family, but this is not even newsworthy. How many babies made the news when they were aborted? There should be a story about each of these murdered innocents, perhaps 40-50 million stories to date. They (aborted) are not even mentioned on the obituaries.
