WASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) -- President Obama released the following statement on the murder of Dr. George Tiller on Sunday.
"I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence."
Now (most assuredly) “many” in the public mainstream will be “demanding” that “something be done” about all those right wingers out there.
It's coming, FRiends.
That is an apt reply.
I find that choice of wording very telling too. The President doesn’t bat a eye at the “heinous acts of violence” ie. 1 and one-half million abortions done in the USA every year. The only way these acts of violence can be resolved is to make abortion illegal.
You've got nothing to worry about if you're not willing to stand for the Cause of Life.
Hey Odumbo, tell tht to the babies who have scissors stuck into the back of their heads and have their brains sucked out.
I think this is the first time I’ve ever heard him come out so quickly on any current event.
What kind of backhanded insult is this doing on "this board"?
Correction, Øbama doesn't believe that a live born baby is really a baby.
Here's the thing that pisses me off. None of this crap was happening prior to the disastrous Roe vs Wade ruling. States took care of abortion in their own states, instead of liberals forcing the issue onto everyone else. Liberals scream about choice but the true pro-choice option would be to nullify Roe vs Wade immediately and return the issue back to the individual states (and in the long-run, the pro-life movement should continue to work for a constitutional amendment banning abortion).
Obama's statement is just more of the same middle-ground fallacy promoted by the Left on abortion. Pro-lifers are the radical extremists, while us abortion advocates are the enlightened moderates searching for a "compromise." We should all come together as a nation blah blah blah. Sorry but I'm not buying it.
I’m sort of confused about why the president would chime in on this. Other than to placate/stir-up his base.
There’s nothing moral absolutist about considering Tiller a murderer. It’s a matter of record.
He killed innocent babies every business day of his adult life.
Abortion is either murder or it is not. There are very, very rare exceptions, but in EVERY case abortion is the murder of a human being....a homicide.
Right. It was so ridiculous I didn’t even want to respond to it. just moronic if it was honest at all, which I doubt.
“The fact that a church would accept this monstorous person is what suprises me.”
Unfortunately, many churches look at the size of the wallet and not the darkness of the heart.
Shooting someone isn’t particularly heinous, unless one shoots for maximum pain and prolongation of suffering until death. Burning the skin of a baby, dismembering him or jabbing a sharp blade into his skull, now that’s heinous.
you slammed it home with that post
nailed it right on!
...or for BullDyke-atano at DHS.
WTF are you talking about?
