One of my sons is also adopted. He is currently in his rebellious stage and has loudly opposed all my values except one - he is pro life. I still remember the day when we had the news on and there was a story about abortion — he turned to me with wide eyes and said “mom, that could have been me”
That moment has apparently stayed with him as well. I think this is the issue God will use to bring him out of his rebellion and back in the fold.

I don’t know much about my kids’ birth mothers (adopted from Russia) and they are going through the stage of questioning why they were given up, and rejected-
but the abortion discussion gave us a chance to talk about the miracle that they were born at all - a powerful type of love and acceptance by their birth mothers, even if they could not keep and raise them
