I wonder how many doctors were murdered in this country in the last year for various reasons. Dozens? Hundreds? It only seems to be national news when a protected icon of the left is involved. I don't condone murder, but the media elevating this all too common occurrence to what will no doubt be MSM talking points for the next week plus is demented. I think the shooter was sick. I think the man who got shot was sick as well.

It’s a murder just like any other murder, no more, no less, and should be handled as such by the Wichita PD.

The fact that the deceased made his living killing babies should not make his murder any more egregious.

I’d argue that since he valued life with such disdain, that I can understand how some might take solace in the fact that he was murdered.

I doubt it. There were 16,000 and some odd murders in 2007 (last year I have stats for), and .7 doctors for every 1000 people, so in theory that would give you a fair chance that 10 physicians were amongst that number. However, murder isn't spread evenly throughout the population with certain demographics, occupations, etc being much more likely to be murdered than most. I'd be willing to bet you that less doctors were slain last year than you have fingers on your left hand if any at all were slain.
