It’s a murder just like any other murder, no more, no less, and should be handled as such by the Wichita PD.
The fact that the deceased made his living killing babies should not make his murder any more egregious.
I’d argue that since he valued life with such disdain, that I can understand how some might take solace in the fact that he was murdered.
Mabe the shooter IS sick, or dying - as in Jack Ruby.
I doubt it. There were 16,000 and some odd murders in 2007 (last year I have stats for), and .7 doctors for every 1000 people, so in theory that would give you a fair chance that 10 physicians were amongst that number. However, murder isn't spread evenly throughout the population with certain demographics, occupations, etc being much more likely to be murdered than most. I'd be willing to bet you that less doctors were slain last year than you have fingers on your left hand if any at all were slain.
