The point is: They’ll never be able to sell this as a “tragedy”.
And, they won’t even (seriously) try.
That's right. Attack me and leave the murderer out of it. I'm sorry you can't find good reason to celebrate the killing of this animal and choose, instead, to pretend that taking the "high road" is the proper thing. I feel sorry for you.
However, the system is broken, the system was bought and paid for by Tiller, the system was in Tiller's back pocket.
Tiller was the most powerful political figure in Kansas, a political boss, yet he never held office, himself.
Again, I do not support vigilante justice like this -— but it was predictable.
The people are losing confidence in their government.
It took me a while to read through this thread and finally someone said it. (apologies if I missed it on another post)
My 2 cents. A person broke the law. He will be caught and punished, and he knew this when he set out this morning. I suspect he intended to surrender on the spot, but got scared. (He did not snipe from a hill or wear a disguise).
He decided that losing his freedom (or his life) to stop Tiller was a price he was willing to pay.
Tiller was the most vile and vicious abortionists that I have ever heard of, and I am unable to find any sympathy for him or those who loved him.
The problem here is that liberal bigots will paint pro-lifers with a broad brush and it will now essentially be illegal to hold pro-life views or own weapons.
They are quick to excuse the terrorist Muslims for their atrocities (saying it was the actions of America that drove them to it) and yet, they will send this guy to GITMO for water-boarding and execution (without the noting the real atrocities that Tiller has committed that drove this person to his act).
Because someone like myself predicts how cynical Obama will come across in his comments on Tiller’s death does not mean I am gloating or taking delight over his untimely demise.
For one I wish his life had not been taken in this way; this sppears to be murder; there is no excuse.
Having said that, I am not blind to political reality and the evil nature of Obama.
It will be interesting to see who “honors” him by attending the funeral.
Why?
The tragedy is our culture has fallen so far that an abortionist can perform abortions legally.
Conservatives would be better off heeding the words of Thomas Jefferson rather than Thomas Paine. The latter, besides being a drunk, had a history of not paying his debts.
Anyone holding Paine up as a paragon of 'conservative' principles is woefully in error.
I see “the right” are attacking each other over this as usual, marching to the drumbeat of the PC crowd. Gotta wait for the facts.
More precisely I do not support the murder of innocent human beings ever, under no circumstances, while you allow for the killing of innocent human beings if they were the result of a rape or incest.
Why do you support the murder of innocent human beings?
I do not share the same views as you. I am not religious. However, I do not think abortion is necessarily right, and, I can see instances where it may be warranted. I don’t view the world as a black and white place.
“What if it turns out a RAT shot him?”
would not surprise me in the least...
Look on the bright side - maybe Keith Olbermann will name us "The Worst Person In The World."
So we are to hold off on the gunfire until anarchy prevails?
When do you think that will happen?
More info on that statement?
Since your remark is not flying well with some on this thread maybe they'd prefer, "May Tiller the baby killer stand alongside Jesus in Heaven now and forever, Amen."</sarcasm>
Well at least try to be consistent.
