Memes and analysis for May 31, 2009
Its real simple this week: if you oppose Sotomayor on reasoned principle then you are a racist sexist bigot. If you point out that she is clearly a racist and a sexist based on what shes actually said then you are going beyond the boundaries of civil debate and must be destroyed on a personal and permanent basis, at all costs.
Welcome to the Obamazone.
Welcome to 1984.

Senator Arlen Specter (Democrat Pennsylvania)
Finally an honest tag.
I applaud the nomination of Judge Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. Her confirmation would add needed diversity in two ways: the first Hispanic and the third woman to serve on the high court. While her record suggests excellent educational and professional qualifications, now it is up to the Senate to discharge its constitutional duty for a full and fair confirmation process.

Not to mention her membership, leadership and support of La Raza.
Amerika moves left, as ex-veterans are labeled subversive and La Raza is elevated to legitimacy.

Yep, how could one have such poor judgment to be over turned not one, two, three, or four, but 5 times by the Supreme Court, and still be considered for the job?
