Groton Democrats Endorse Dodd
Published on 5/30/2009
Groton - Home court advantage didn't help Senate hopeful Merrick Alpert at the Democratic Town Committee this week, which endorsed Sen. Chris Dodd for re-election.
Alpert, who lives in Mystic and is a member of the town committee, announced last week that he would challenge Dodd in the 2010 Democratic primary.
The resolution hailed Dodd for being a forceful advocate for the principles of the Democratic Party during his entire time in Congress, and criticized what it termed an orchestrated campaign that has misrepresented his actions in the United States Senate.
And the resolution also took a swipe at Alpert, saying the committee recognized the right of Democrats to challenge Dodd, but deplored any attempt to do so by echoing empty right wing talking points.
Cheating, lying, stealing? Maybe so...
He’s definitely a mainstream Democrat.
A gift to all the GOP in Connecticut. Run their words all the time, and in every ad, and the GOP might retake many elected positions.
Of course, I would expect moderates to shy away from something like that.
That would be Propagation of the Communist Ideals as I do not see anything these people are good for they are NOT Americans but instead are Democrats the most worthless collection of Damaged perverted souls on the planet.
The Groton Democrats would endorse Hitler if he were a Democrat and currently in office.

Hard to argue that one. A truer democrat you won't find.
Translation: Dodd’s a big old lying fat pervert.
"I am such a scumbag, I think it is time for me to go down."
SATIRE In a rare moment of candor and self introspection, Sen Chris Always Interested in Gifts Dodd, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, called Stoos Views today to confess that he is a hypocritical, duplicitous no-good scam artist [sic] who has shaken down Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac, obtained preferential loans from Countrywide, and was the beneficiary of $103,000 in contributions from AIG, during his recent failed 2008 Presidential election campaign.
Dodd used his interview with Stoos Views to announce his upcoming second offer of resignation. I think it is time for me to go. Even I cannot stand my own hypocrisy, he told Stoos Views reporter Hugh Betcha, this week. Here I am, in a position of public trust, taking enormous contributions from entities that I am supposed to regulate, and hoping no one would notice. Well, the public has found me out once again and I feel ashamed to be in the limelight. Lets face it, I am a crooked politician and there is no arguing that."
" After all, I was not only one of the biggest recipients of money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mactaking well over $100,000 from them-- but I also shook down the big dollar execs at AIG for campaign donations as well. Boy is that a mess now. Since I have been caught at that as well, and since the country is in an uproar over AIG, I am going to give back all those contributions as a sign of my good faith. And, frankly, to cover my..........(Excerpt) Read more at canadafreepress.com ...
Barney Frank got totally excited when Dodd said, "I think it is time for me to go down." Rahm Emanuel sprang into action. Rahm instructed Dodd to send a memo to Barney Frank: "Calm down, Barney, this is not what you think it is." Unfortunately, Rahm's message came too late. Barney had already left a message for Chris Dodd ......saying that he could not wait to see Dodd's (cough) package."
