It’s unfortunate that in a country of 300 million people only 20 or so million listen to him, and far fewer regularly. Imagine if all 300m were subscribers to 24/7 and listened to every syllable he uttered everyday and acted accordingly, America would be the closest thing to paradise (it already is but would be even closer..)

20 million is very significant. What proportion is 20 million of the number who actually vote?

Also,...Of the 300 million we must subtract: Children, those who don’t vote, those who are mentally retarded, or senile.

20 Million is really a rather important part of what remains.

You got to remember that the 20 million number is a snap shot from a particular period of testing. Listeners listen on and off so that some days there may be considerably more than 20 million and some days less. Also are they counting radios tuned to Rush? If they are only counting radios tuned to Rush then they may be massively undercounting listeners!
