There are the usual problems brewing between Moscow and Constantinople, this time in great measure over clearing up the irregular jurisdictional situation here and who will have the presvyia in the US. Currently, its the EP and the canons, arguably, say Constantinople. Moscow makes its claims based on being here first and being the biggest Orthodox church. My guess is that the author is a partisan of the MP. Change the name to a Greek one and you’d see the opposite sort of comment.
The real spiritual danger, S, is an autocephallous American Church.
