I think we overlook how horrible a candidate McCain was. I had three members of my family vote for Obama and it was more a vote against McCain. McCain killed us.

McCain was hand picked by the MSM to be a dupe for the election. I never got the impression that he had any desire to win.

I read the thread and noticed how many other posters went off about the, "I truly had no idea he would turn out to be the radical tax and spend liberal he's revealed." line.

She struck a nerve in a bad way!

...”I truly had no idea he would turn out to be the radical tax and spend liberal he’s revealed.”...

Two comments here. First, is Crystal Wright black? That would explain her vote for Obama as one purely of race. In my view, “independent” voters do not exist - independence is another way of saying uniformed until it’s too late. Second, Crystal Wright is a lazy moron to make the quoted statement. Anyone who delved into Obama’s past and “record” beyond the lies and hype put out by the so-called MSM would have known that this clown positioned himself as a “moderate democrat”, a charade aided and abetted by a criminally complicit media. Uninformed fools like Ms Wright hurt their own interests and those of the USA in their ignorance.

Bush 1 was called a “moderate conservative” when he ran against Reagan, by NPR.

I sometimes wonder about these polls though. They can choose to poll all democratic voting areas and come up with the result they want. I don’t trust anything anymore. Just the fact that absolsutely Nobody in authority or the Supreme Court will bother to deal with the very important issue of whether this fraud is legally Amercian born so that he could even qualify to run for President. There is also the HUGE Acorn cheat machine. Who really knows how many millions of votes he got from non-existent or dead people? Corrupt to the core. The very worst choice that America has ever made. The consequences will be brutal. He is tearing down Amercia’s defenses daily. He’s steam rolling over the masses and it really will take a revolution to undo it. He’s done enough damage in 3 months can you imagine what a year or two will bring??? Shudder!! CO

Stop! You’re killing me!

How can anyone be a moderate conservative?

I think what you mean is that you’re a clueless doofazoid with a full set of “living” principles who thinks Meghan McCain could be the next Oprah.

The president wants to do everything at one time, national healthcare, economy, taxes (wealth redistribution), clean energy, infrastructure, education and more.

Methinks Crystal Wrong doesn't really regret voting for Obama.

She is just upset that he is being ostracized for "moving too fast".

She badly wants all the stuff she listed, she just wants him to get it all for her in a slower way, so that Joe taxpayer's buttocks aren't pockmarked by the government sucking all the money out of his wallet too quickly.

She wants the old "boiling frog" approach to make sure old Joe doesn't jump out of the pot and ruin it all for her.

Let’s define moderate conservative:

I don’t believe in all that Christian or Old Testament behavior stuff they throw in there.....that is all it is ever about.

Period.

"I think we overlook how horrible a candidate McCain was. I had three members of my family vote for Obama and it was more a vote against McCain. McCain killed us."

I'm sorry but that is nonsense. It was clear during the campaign who Obama was and what he was going to do. It was equally clear who McCain was and while McCain wasn't by any means who I would have picked as the Republican candidate, that is what he was. In any event the choice was between McCain and a leftist/racist. McCain didn't make them vote for Obama.

However, the meltdown of the financial markets may have clouded the issues and PO'd folks enough to allow the unthinkable to happen and that should be investigated as to weather it was, in any part, due to artificial manipulation for political purposes.

you're telling us that they would have supported a real social conservative but since one wasn't running they opted for a far left radical instead?

man, must be one weird family when it comes to logic discussions..

>>>>>>Admittedly, I was one of the moderate conservatives who was wooed by Obama during his PR campaign to become the country's next president.

There is no such animal as a "moderate conservative".

Fool comes to mind, however.

What the heck is a moderate conservative?

It's a Dick Cheney who thinks that the way you fight Islamic terrorism is to hire a bunch of third rate TSA inspectors and excopst to be counterintelligence specialists to go looking through sock dwawers and old lady's underwear. It values suspecting the integrity and decency of good old American taxpayers, while shooting your friends with a shot gun because you don't know how to shoot straight. It helps that you cannot figure out what you are aiming at.

It's a George Bush who wakes up too late and discovers that Dick Cheney can't actually shoot straight or tell the difference between friend and taraget and that "hey help us out with $750B" Paulson isn't a paragon of stand or fall on your own personal worth conservatism.
