MANORVILLE, N.Y., May 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, named "Honoree of the Year '09" by the Independent Group Home Living Foundation (IGHL; www.ighl.org), will be coming to the dinner and accepting the award at the IGHL 30th anniversary gala on Sunday, June 7th.
This is the Alaska Governor's first appearance on Long Island. Independent Group Home Living (IGHL; www.ighl.org) is a Manorville, New York-based not-for-profit organization providing programs, services and support for people with developmental disabilities in New York State. Palin is devoted to families who have children with special needs.
The award will be presented at the organization's 30th anniversary of service which will be celebrated at its annual fundraising gala to be held on June 7, 2009 on Long Island. The high-profile gala will be attended by parents and family members, as well as by federal, state and local government officials and leaders of corporations who are all committed to helping people with developmental disabilities lead fuller and richer lives. She's going about doing her job as Governor, but also accepting awards and doing her part to help other conservatives. AMongst the tens of millions of Americans who hold fast to, and understand our traditional values, roots and strength...her strength and influence will only grow...and be enhanced as the liberal left and media continue to try and attack her.
Every time I read stories like this, I love her that much more...
If she can clarify her stand on border security and immigration, and dump the populist schtick on economics, then she’s a no-brainer for President in 2012. Everything else she is rock-solid conservative on.
