Don’t forget the grand time the MSM and Dems had when ‘41’ wasn’t familiar with the scan at the supermarket checkout ... but now we have a POTUS who’s never heard of a critical government agency that he heads. Oy.

Actually the whole bar code scanner episode was completely distorted. Back in the day, 1992, you had to orient the bar code just so and draw the product across the scanner at the just the right speed, not too fast, not too slow.

What Bush was witnessing was a *demonstration* of one of the first of the new scanners that could read the bar code more or less regardless of orientation or speed with which you drew product across. We take that technology for granted today, it was new in 1992. Actually, even the old fashioned bar code scanners weren’t all that widely deployed in 1992, partly because they weren’t all that reliable and were quite expensive.

The reporters covering the event knew this and deliberately distorted their coverage to make Bush I look “out of touch”.

That scanner comment surprised me, until I heard the truth behind it. And the darn spelling of potato..so sad to see the mass media pick and choose what stories they report, and then edit them for their liberal agenda. There should be consequences...and watching the dinosaur media death watch ping list...now that’s comforting. Maybe there will finally be consequences.
