No, but by the time the government schools finish with them they will...
Don’t be so sure. Look at Iowa...
In CA under SB 777 you effectively can’t opt out. This type of teaching is now part of an “anti-discrimination” mandate. If this approach is deemed a bit much for right now, they can do the same thing under color of SB 777 just by relabeling it.
Are you asking conservatives to give up their favorite welfare entitlement - “free” public schools? Shame on you ;-)
In California, in many cases that would be the teacher or an administrator.
“all 3 of my kids went to public school and all 3 are grown and conservative thanks to me.
you need to be the editor and tell the kids what is bogus and not in public schools.”
That was then, this is now. The schools today bear morally no relation to what they were even 10 years ago.
“Social issues are to be taught at home.”
Good that you think that, but our highly trained education professionals disagree - and they have the power, the money, and THE CHILDREN.
Yes to your question. I am a single parent, I pay property taxes, and I have successfully home schooled my children.
Now, what were your excuses again?
HSing is fully legal in CA. Remove your children and work to kill every bond levy.
Then, will you let me have my kid?
You can take your child out now. CA has mandated teaching beginning in K that the sodomite and bi-sexual lifestyles are the moral equivalent of heterosexuality and the are teaching that “gender” is a choice. If you are feeling pretty today in a CA school, you might be a girl...Thank Sheila Kuehl and SB 777
Your teacher friends evidently have their heads buried in the sand or don’t recognize an agenda when they see one. I live in one of the most conservative parts of Texas and our highly trained education professionals are teaching exactly this stuff and our schools have “Gay/Straight Alliance Clubs”. They also are also using the ADL’s “No Place for Hate” curriculum which mainstreams homosexual sodomy. I shudder to think what they are teaching in places like Austin, Dallas, Houston, or down in the Valley.
Here! Here!
That was and is the goal...Thank the New Left Gramscian Marxists - preferrably with some lead.
Well, I would say you have very successfully marketed your post...;-)
Yes, it would be much better if they had 100%. Or, perhaps in light of the miraculous results of 5o years of “school reform”, we could give up our favorite middle-class welfare entitlement and let the our highly trained education professionals have only 15%-25%. I wonder which is the better strategy?
If you are giving the prime waking hours, curriculum, peer relationships, etc. to someone else, you are not even close to being the primary educator of your child - except in a default sort of way.
Not if enough leave now. There is strength in numbers.
She gets a standing ovation as the crowd shouts, BRAVO!!!, BRAVO!!!
We need people to get the word around that single parents, if they have the will, can HS.
