Lots of posts are made to be funny or ironic and not made to be taken seriously, but if you're not familiar with the site or the general style it's easy to misconstrue the intent. Bill used Hot Air.com as his other example of a "far right smear site" without even recognizing it was Michelle Malkin's site. She was plenty pissed.

He also didn't identify the FR poster. I would have liked to know who wrote the post he read.

I haven't been able to spend that much time here, but to me FR is the most benign and jovial site I know of and can't be compared to the obscene DU, Huff-Po, Daily Kos just to name a few.

The comment wasn’t that bad, the poster observed that the nominees condition might lead to a shorter term than others...technically correct but could be construed as wishful thinking.
