I would doubt Bill O is doing the research himself, staff is probably feeding him quotes.
The quote itself, while not politically correct, does define reality and really falls way short of the “Cheney” Scale of deragatory comments.
We can do much worse and still fall short of the Borking left wing hate for SCOTUS candidates.

Exactly. For example, on Rush’s show today he talked about Julianne Malveaux’s comment regarding Justice Thomas. She said the she hoped he ate a lot of bacon so his heart would suffer and would die.
Good Lord!

We can do much worse and still fall short of the Borking left wing hate for SCOTUS candidates.

Edward Milhous Kennedy holds the all time record for scurrilous crapping on a SCOTUS candidate with his "Judge Bork's world...." screed.

And to add insult to injury, Alabama's solemn old fart Sen. Howell Heflin told Bork that he didn't like his beard.

Therefore, by Democrat standards, we should judge SCOTUS candidates by their beards?? Heflin was way overboard on that one. A beard?

My daughter has juvenile onset diabetes. She was 13 at the time. There's no way I would say anything against Type 1 diabetics. It's a long and difficult road that they face, with insulin injections 3 or 4 times a day. I just wish for my daughter and for the SCOTUS nominee a long and happy life.
