What about people who can’t drive (too old, too young, handicapped) or can’t afford a car and all it’s attendant costs?

Our ecomony depends on people being able to get around, get to work, get to shopping etc.

If we’re going to fund roads/highways through government funds, we can also fund other forms of transportation through government funds.

The other option is to make all trasportation forms privately funded.

1) Neighbors
2) Friends
3) Church organizations
4) Charities
5) Family members

With all due respect and courtesy...why does every problem NEED a public funding???

here in Houston, the city rulers oppose putting advertising on and inside of our public buses and rail system. We pay for that decision as a legitimate revenue system is rejected for selfish reasons.

I do not find my roadways to be any more “beautiful” because the investments of billboard operators are protected. Note too that my city restricts the development and even repair of billboards, so it isn’t like they are that loved by the politicians.

Meanwhile my gasoline tax was never intended to subsidize failed public transit schemes.
