What kind of analysis is this?

Here's my analysis.

Two words: "I won."

But beyond questions of qualifications, temperament, and intellectual heft, Sotomayor is the perfect political choice for the president.

It's a bit of a tongue-in-cheek analysis.

It is correct that leftist mouthpieces like the NY Times and the networks will embrace and trumpet "her story" but with enough hammering from the right, they will eventually be forced to address the rather obvious issue that she's a racist incompetent boob.

She's not just ill-suited to do the job of Supreme Court Justice, her previous statements clearly indicate that she doesn't even know what the job is.

Crappy, liberal analysis.

Without even reading, I bet the author is saying that because she is a latino woman, that it automatically defeats the GOP because it would make them look rascist/sexist.

Really, what infantile thinking.

Am I right? Let me see...

“I may be wrong here, but it’s my take this woman will never make it to the SCOTUS.”

I think you need to reassess the make-up of the Senate that handles the confirmation. 60 Dems/Independents plus a gaggle of RINOs currently seated in the Sentate equals walk in the park confirmation for anything nominated by Obama.

The affirmative action figutre fraud-in-chief has made a decidedly affirmative action nomination of a person openly the antithesis of a Constitutiona Republic. This female judge does not believe the law is written for blindness before the bar, she believes the court should actively determine changing policy, thus she believes those in power (and she as a judge considers herself supremely powerful) make the law of transactional behavior in an ongoing, ever changing way which reflects the ‘feelings’ of the powerful. Sotomayer is an extremely anti-Constitution judge. She is what the Obowma administration has in mind for Amerika as they ‘change’ the nation. This is what the democrat party has become. Damn them to hell for it.

Well, we have the first Bush to thank for putting this lady in position to be nominated.

Yes, and the Republican Party leader, Colin Powell, must be proud.

As Obowma is proving, she knows what ‘she thinks’ is the job of a subpreme court justice. She’s the epitome of an activist judge. THAT is the face of the urrent democrat party. Her urlings and her recorded statements prove she is an activist, but will the testicle challenged Republicans oppose her openly based upon her unfit status, her rulings which have been overturned, her ‘judicial philosophy’ as proven with her own statements? The Republicans in offcie have become feckless fools. They will be hgerded to do Obowma’s bidding.

I heard that sound clip on Rush. What a dumb thing to say. You admit to legislating from the bench, something that is expressly forbidden. “Hey, I”m unethical. Ha ha hah...”

Talk about a self-destructive dumb dumb...

As I understand it, one Republican needs to vote to get her out of the Judicial Sub-Committee. Otherwise her nomination dies there.

I may be wrong though. That my only be the case in other matters. It may not be the case with SCOTUS nominations.

I would hope it is the case.

You mean like not being qualified to be President?

There isn’t a better example IMO. You’re absolutely right.

This is my understanding also ... that the GOP could stop her in Committee if no GOP Senator there will vote for her.

With Benedict Arlen Specter gone, it should be doable. Doesn’t mean it will happen, as we all know.

The community organizer-in-chief has outflanked the GOP and the knee pad press because he knows his "Rules for Radicals" so well.

Consider the fact that last week the community organizer-in-chief was on the losing side of some very important issues, closing GITMO and Nazi Pelosi vs CIA, and the issue of the safety of American citizens.

There is no surprise in this pick for the Supreme Court, it was the timing of announcing the pick.

Last week Darth Cheney schooled the organizer in chief, heck, he even had to compete with dueling speeches. That had to twist his drawers!

Cheney addressed the fact that the United States is weaker today than it has been anytime since 9/11. Then on top of this, Korea launches a nuke test and Amadinnerjacket is shooting Barry the middle finger.

The organizer needed to refocus the discussion away from the threats and valid arguments Cheney presented. What better way to accomplish this than to pull the mules ear and announce the appointment?

RULE 11: "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative." Never let the enemy score points because you're caught without a solution to the problem.

My two cents.

Remember how we went from Zoe Baird, to Kimba Wood, to Janet Reno? Folks, Reno was the first choice all along. This is a setup. Pay attention.
