The majority of what I have read about American slavery implies that the worst part of it was the Africa to America trade. Much or nearly all of it was conducted by Northerners. Mostly from New England.

Should there be a separate memorial for those from New England states who made slaves suffer many of which died?

Most slaves were obtained by other African tribes...who then sold them to white slavers.
