New York Daily News columnist Mike Lupica has decided, in white liberal-guilt fashion, to defend a former Army general against the savage attacks by two partisan Republicans who dare criticize a black so-called Republican. Lupica asserts that since neither Rush Limbaugh nor Dick Cheney has served in the military (and military issues aren't even the topic here), they have no right to challenge Colin Powell on anything, let alone what it is to be a Republican.

Powell started it. Let Rush and Cheney finish it. Besides Rush quit as party head last week and gave the job to Colon.

If Mike wants to play that game, fine. I served my country 22 years and I call Powell a RINO... Call me on it, clown

Here’s a question for Powell:
When did you know the identity of the Valerie Plame leaker, and when did you inform President Bush of that fact?
I’m sure others would have some follow-up questions.

I’ve seen both Fox News and MSNBC run statements at the “crawl” on the bottom of the screen, stating that Rush and Chcney are “attacking” Powell regarding his GOP credentials.
This is blatantly false, especially in Cheney’s case! Both men were simply just responding to Powell’s attacks.
I guess if you answer a question not to the MSM’s liking, you are “on the attack”!
And I’m surprised they didn’t throw Karl Rove in there as well, because he also honestly answered a question re: the RINO Powell.

Funny thing is, only the liberals in the military think their service negates any opinion I may have (non military).

And another thing. Why wasn’t military service an issue in this last election? McCain (as much as we hate his policies) was a bona fide war hero, while 0bama probably never even played soldier as a tot.
Strange that military service wasn’t even MENTIONED in the 2008 election for POTUS!

Rush and Cheney should just claim victory and move to the next fight. It looks like they can win.

Gee, isn’t this the precise thing liberals get all pissy about? “Don’t tell me I can’t criticize the military just because I never served!”
Pathetic hypocisy.
Thank you, FReeper cadre, for honoring the givers of the last full measure of devotion today.

In addition, Norman H. Schwarzkopf exposes Powell as a wimp and whiner during Desert Storm. If anyone is to be blamed for the second invasion of Iraq, the blame land squarely on the shoulders of none other than -
COLIN POWELL.
