It really stuns me when people claim pedophilia between a man and a boy has NOTHING, no-no, uh-uh to do with homosexuality because it's about "power."

I work with at-risk kids, and when people at work babble this *&^%, I just shake my head.

This is the world we live in: It's now considered a hate crime to say that when a male has sex with another (unwilling, younger) male--aka pedophilia--it's a homosexual act.

When someone mentions this foolishness to me, I say "So when a male rapist attacks a woman, he's no longer a heterosexual, and it's not a heterosexual act--he temporarily becomes asexual?"

Part of the problem is the definition of “pedophilia”. It really was not intended to cover teenage boys at the age of puberty. (There is another odd term that I dont remember.) Pedophilia is for infants and toddlers real little kids.

Men going for teenage boys right around puberty, for male on male sex ... who could imagine anyone calling the man a homo?

I’ve heard it said that when INFANTS and small childen are molested, it’s a seperate psychological impulse in the offender. Since it seems so bizarre how anyone could get gratification from an infant, and since a babies don’t look like men or women at all, I can suppose there is some truth to the statement that male pedophiles who abuse male babies aren’t necessarily homosexual in their adult relationships.

But in the sense of that statement, we’re not dealing with pedophilia. We’re dealing with ephibophilia. The victims are post-pubescent, so they function as sexually adult. This is 100% about homosexuality, and 0% about pedophilia, in the strict sense of the term.
