“but popular usage today, they use pedophilia for both?”

I think it’s a combination of laziness, bigotry, and an unwillingness to admit what the numbers clearly show when you analyze the age of the victims with the perpetrators.

The term “pedophile priest” served the msm well - inaccurate as it was.

They should have said “pederast priest” or “ephebophile priest”
But that might have brought too much attention to the homosexuality.

I've only found both "pederast" and "pederasty" in my two-volume 1880 dictionary and my 1953 Webster's Collegiate dictionary.

The word has disappeared!

BTW: My dictionaries do NOT have the word "raunchy" in it. Go figure. :-\
