Romney: Do as I say (today) [Boston Globe says Romney is "as variable as the New England weather"]
The Boston Globe ^ | 2009-05-24

As he demonstrated in his 2008 presidential campaign, Mitt Romney is as variable as the New England weather. Still, Romney positively outdid himself last week. Speaking at a National Rifle Association forum, he blasted President Obama's healthcare plans - proposals that look a good deal like the Massachusetts coverage law Romney helped bring about. But it gets stranger still. "The best path to healthcare reform is to let the American people make their own decisions, not have those decisions forced on them by government," proclaimed the perpetual candidate. This even though Romney's most important contribution to the state's landmark law was his call for an individual mandate - that is, a government-enforced requirement that everyone buy health insurance.

Would you support Liz Cheney?

I'd support Liz Taylor over this hyper-flippity-flopper.

Romney is not variable at all.

No matter what the issue is, he will always point out that you only disagree with him because you hate Mormons. And his flock of sycophants will pick up the chant.

Liz Cheney was a foreign policy advisor to both Fred Thompson’s campaign and then Mitt Romney’s. How about now?

You said that in an earlier thread. It was just as juvenile then too. How about you, is Liz Cheney Conservative enough?

The GOP can do better then Romney. If Republicans choose this unprincipled, two-faced political chameleon to be their nominee in 2012, they'll lose worse then McCain did in 2008. Maybe to the Goldwater level of '64, sealing the demise of the GOP for a generation, or more.

Massachusetts' Universal healthcare is a disaster, with the state nearly $4B (that's Billion) in the red for this FY and sinking fast. So, what do Coupe Deville Patrick and the state legislature thugs do? Why, raise the state income tax 25%. Raise the state sales tax 25%. Increase fees on the toll roads 30% (hey; union toll takers on the Mass Pike make $ 67K a year base pay, plus overtime and benefits).

Massachusetts is the US' Early Warning Alarm, people.

I refuse to be baited by (your) personal attacks, since the use of such always indicates the argument is already lost by the individual resorting to it.

Liberal Romney sycophants can’t silence conservatives by obfuscation. A turd is a turd no matter how much honey you pour on it (him).

I’m not the one comparing another human being to the herpes virus. If you’re going to throw stones, you shouldn’t live in a glass house. So, attempt to answer this simple question: IS LIZ CHENEY CONERVTIVE ENOUGH FOR YOU?

"IS LIZ CHENEY CONERVTIVE ENOUGH FOR YOU?"

Try not to type with your fists. It's so uncouth.

You have no concept of what a personal attack is obviously. You called me a name in an attempt to silence my criticism of a public figure. Attacking that public figure is a political opinion and fair game on FR. If it were against the rules to attack public figures on FR then there would be no threads. But then again, I know that what liberal Romney sycophants really attempt to do is foster the idea that attacking “the precious” is verboten.

Romney IS like the herpes virus. He is unwanted but won’t go away.

Rush had on a very good caller last week from Taxachussets. She detailed the hoops one has to jump through to comply with Romney’s socialized healthcare plan. The layers of rules she has to deal with are many and costly.
