It’s worse for me.

I live in Los Angeles which is in debt, which is in Los Angeles County which is in debt, which is in California which is in debt, which is in the USA which is in debt.

I say, buy enough Gold to bribe the border guards.

Will there EVER be enough gold to bribe the border guards?

The problem is, is there anyplace to escape to when the US DOES collapse (and it will)? Brazil is a possibility, but they have a penchant for lurching into Eurosocialist policies at the least provocation, and they have displayed a xenophobia towards Americans for unexplained and mysterious reasons.

Canada, why inflict this upon Canada, burdened as it is already? The have no health care that is available on a timely basis, their currency dies when the US dollar falters, and they simply do not have the sense of personal boundaries that most Americans take for granted, interfering as they do in the daily lives of their neighbors, and tattling on them for the least indiscretion.

Mexico is anarchy, and has no functioning goverment. But bribes would work there very well, on the short term - until you could not come up with the next payment.

lol....About 20 years ago I was sitting in my apartment in Eureka, balancing my checkbook when that same thought popped into my head: Eureka’s in debt, Humboldt County’s in debt, California’s in debt and so it the US.....but the only one in the chain of finance, who’d actually get in trouble for not balancing a checkbook is me.

Yeah, I keep hearing this, but gold is doing anything but skyrocketing. Granted, it’s up a lot from about 3-4 years ago, but nothing like what the doomsayers suggest. If gold were such a “hedge” and such a deal, it should be at $2000 an oz today.

Look at the bright side -at least we won’t have the illegal aliens issue anymore. We won’t have jobs or good health care to offer them. I am in NY we are now at the top of the list as the most Socialist state in the Union.

Well, in California we told them to stop spending, in a resounding defeat of the Props. Let’s make sure Obama gets the message.

It’s incredible how we got to this point.

I know, and don’t you just love it that you can drive around LA and see all those oil wells standing idle? Or look out off the coast of Santa Barbara and see where the oil seeps up through the beaches there - wasted - and know that California could totally drill its way out of a recession, and yet.... nope.
