[locals like David Curtis seethed. “This is the worst job I have ever applied for,” said the 31-year-old welder... Eyeing those ahead of him, he added: “I’m very annoyed foreigners are taking jobs that Americans need.”]
If those who voted dem are in this line, they are getting the results of their foolish choice of this past and evil election.
He who sows the wind will reap the whirlwind.

You are correct - voting for the Dems has brought this influx of immigrants. It seems that suddenly there are no jobs that Americans “won’t do” and they are realizing the results of their folly.
On the other hand, if these folks are here legally, they have every right to apply for these jobs along with anyone else.

Several years ago, I was angry at my employer (a multispecialty health care system) and traveled to New Zealand to consider a position as a medical director. My background and education were such that it would have been easy to go there and provide a service that was badly needed. Simply put, their immigration strategy was built on approving those who brought sets of defined skills that were necessary to the country and that they could not supply themselves.
What would be so wrong with adopting a rational immigration policy in the United States like that?
Yet look at the numbers of unskilled people that we take in. Let's meet our own needs first and then attend to the needs of the rest of the world.

If those who voted dem are in this line,The GOP didn't offer a distinct choice regarding amnesty - McCain was as pro-amnesty as Obama.

Obama likes this.
Wait till the unskilled immigrants come from Cube. That will be hilarious to Obama. He'll have legitimate U.S. citizens competing for LESS for even more “scorned” jobs. I'm telling ya, he want the U.S. to be a third world country. Whoever makes more will be taxed to death and the “wealth redistributed.”

The redistribution of wealth is a myth. When those who are smart enough to become super-rich leave this tax heavy nation, there will be no wealth to distribute. There will be many, many poor, and we will have a dictator. The conservatives better get on the ball with these elections and tell everyone what this is doing to the nation.

Whiner! Just wait, if the Obama economic changes ALL take place, you might have to look to Mexico for better.

But W said Americans wouldn’t do these jobs. It’s ironic that his crashing of the economy proved otherwise.

It would be different if the “immigrants” had a desire to become Americans and adopt our culture, but they spit on our culture, demanding that we adapt everything to them. Any immigration reform that doesn't send illegals packing with no possibility of returning is unacceptable. We should have the same approach to “guest workers” as Switzerland. If they have a labor shortage, they will allow foreigners to work as long as they need them. The guest workers have no rights to social benefits, no automatic path to citizenship, and if they are fired or laid off they must leave. You cannot immigrate to Australia if you simply want to. You must have an advanced degree or at least a specialized skill set they need. Marrying an Australian citizen doesn't get you in either. Being against the unchecked immigration of poorly educated refuges isn't racist, it's self preservation.

What would be so wrong with adopting a rational immigration policy in the United States like that? We do have a policy like that, but it isn't enforced by our corrupt politicians.

I’ve had some bad jobs in my life, the worst was washing out used milk cans full of maggots so they could be reused. During the summer the rotten milk, maggots, heat and flies made the job difficult. Other jobs were just as bad but this was the worst.
To: Moonman62
But W said Americans wouldnt do these jobs. Its ironic that his crashing of the economy proved otherwise. During GW Bush's term, AMERICANS REALLY WOULD NOT DO THESE JOBS. It is only now that citizens are very grudgingly willing to do these jobs.
Frankly, if I want to hire someone, I would prefer that they like the job they are doing as opposed to thinking "this is the worst job I've ever done". Illegals are still probably better employees for these jobs (because they are happy with these jobs) even if they pay taxes.

However, for the anti immigrant citizen, hell will freeze over before they open the door to the dirty yellow people despite the fact that they assimilate well.
