Wasn’t Cuba in full revolution then? I know we went to Florida in Dec ‘57. We had planned to fly over to Havana but after reading the the local papers about the bombings that were happening in the restaurants and markets, we didn’t go. We had not heard of this in Texas at that time. Maybe the news was out there but we had not heard it. What would an American teenager be going to Cuba for, even one like her? I’ll be interested to hear what you find.
