Pelosi was playing the "news cycle game." She laid low till the news petered out---then reemerged as if nothing happened. Worked for Obama, ACORN, Teddy, the Clintons, and many other pols.....And look how effective it was for ballplayer Alex Rodriguez....he's back on top, none the worse for lying about his illegal steroid use.
