At Notre Dame . . . Obama Tells Pro-Lifers You Can Talk As Long As I Get To Win

“ ‘ Take a bite of the apple, Eve,’ and then he slithered away.”

That was the online reaction, in its entirety, by one reader of the “ California Catholic Daily” web site to a story about Barack Obama’s May 17 commencement address to University of Notre Dame graduates.

Temptation wouldn’t be tempting if it’s repellent. Satan promised Eve great knowledge, not the great suffering he actually intended for her. Is a person more likely to assent to do wrong if the invitation comes from a glowering hothead or a smiling master of winningsounding words? Come with me, graduates, into a paradise of flowery rhetoric, adulation by conscience- troubled media, a fantasy where irresponsible life and cruel death are merely different opinions. All you have to do to attain greatness is to pretend about life, as I do, and see nothing wrong with stabbing babies in the head and leaving them gasping to die. I smile as they die. I wouldn’t want them to expire with their little minds remembering my face looking angry to them.

Did Obama have such words in the back of his mind if not on the tip of his tongue as he instructed Catholic young people about how they are to practice their religion in the world?

“ Rather like Napoleon taking the diadem out of the hands of Pope Pius VII and crowning himself emperor, President Obama has, wittingly or not, declared himself the Primate of American Catholicism,” author George Weigel observed at National Review Online

on May 18.

But the social controversy stimulated by the culture of death’s procession onto the northern Indiana campus wasn’t limited to questions of how different Catholics regard permissive abortion. Reaction around the nation included a deeper dedication of pro-lifers, regardless of religion, to renew their efforts.

Excellent.

Yep... this Obama really has a blackened soul. It grieves when I hear mushy headed Notre Dame students claim, "He's one of us!"

I wonder where that puts God?

"The Wanderer in a May 19 interview, “ I’m glad to say we have formed a very strong coalition” with evangelicals, Catholics, and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints."

Let's keep it that way!!

What Obama Believes re Aborted Babies Born Alive
FR POSTED http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2253212/posts?page=6

In February 2004, US Senate candidate Barack Obama's wife, Michelle, sent a fund-raising letter with the "alarming news" that "right-wing politicians" had passed a law stopping doctors from stabbing half-born babies in the neck with scissors, suctioning out their brains and crushing their skulls.

Michelle Obama called partial-birth abortion "a legitimate medical procedure. " She urged supporters to pay $150 to attend a fund-raising luncheon for her husband, who she promised would fight against "cynical ploy[s]" to stop it.

BACKGROUND Legislation was presented on the federal level and in various states called the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. It stated all live-born babies were guaranteed the same constitutional right to equal protection, whether or not they were wanted. BAIPA sailed through the U.S. Senate by unanimous vote. Even Sens. Clinton, Kennedy and Kerry agreed a mother's right to "choose" stopped at her baby's delivery. The bill also passed overwhelmingly in the House. NARAL went neutral on it. Abortion enthusiasts publicly agreed that fighting BAIPA would appear extreme. President Bush signed BAIPA into law in 2002.

But in Illinois, the state version of BAIPA repeatedly failed, thanks in large part to then-state Sen. Barack Obama. Obama worried aloud that legislation protecting live aborted babies might infringe on women's rights or abortionists' rights.

In 2003, as chairman of the next Senate committee to which BAIPA was sent, Obama stopped it from even getting a hearing, shelving it to die much like babies were still being shelved to die in Illinois hospitals and abortion clinics.

BAIPA passed in 2005.........after Obama left.
