Same here Ronaldus. I'll never vote for him. I can be flexible on many issues but not on the 2nd Amendment, which actually helps protect the others. This was no 'workaround' or 'difference of opinion' - this was a direct violation of the Constitution/Bill of Rights. If Republicans can't stand up against attacks on such a crucial issue, they can easily sell us out on other issues as well, and, as we have seen, they have.
Kasich orchestrated the support to pass the assault weapons ban that, without him, was dead in the water, and the Dems wouldn't have that 'history' upon which they can now launch a similar ban. This was high treason.
