Sarah Palin Picks Christian Journalist to Collaborate on Memoir
USNews ^ | 5/22/09 | Dan Gilgoff

Sarah Palin has picked a Christian author and magazine journalist to collaborate with her on her forthcoming memoir for HarperCollins. The journalist, Lynn Vincent, has been at World—the nation's best-read Christian newsmagazine—for the last 10 years as a writer and editor.

This isn't a surprising choice for Palin, but it's certainly one worth noting. It's more evidence that she's honing a distinctly Christian public image since coming off the campaign trail last year. This seems to be a change from the days when she was a state-level figure, almost entirely unknown outside of Alaska.

1) 20k words is about 50 pages, generously formatted. It doesn't matter. People here are making a big deal about her choosing a 'Christian' co-writer. Why does she need someone with a special flavor to help her express herself?

2) Biden is irrelevant to the discussion. And so is the question of who will be the VP. That election is over. Looking forward - finding the best person to lead us forward. It ain't her.

And, at best, Ayers only helped Obama with ONE of his two books.

Wait a second, do you actually think that people write their own book and have them published. NO ONE does that..that is why there are people called PUBLISHERS who publish the books and proofread them before they are published. Not ONE politician or anyone for that matters writes an entire book by themselves. EVERYONE has either a ghost writer or they write some of it and have taped conversations with someone in order to write the rest. WOW dude, seriously, get off the hate already. You hate this woman that much that you actually counted how many pages 20,000 words are..Good God!! She picked someone who shares her views, an abortion survivor, to help her collaborate the book, what’s the big deal..wait, what am I waiting my words on, you hate the woman, so nothing I say will change your mind anyway.

They are what they are..they think Romney will take them to the promise land..that’s fine, they can believe any nonsense they want. This discussion had nothing to do with running for President or anything like that, but like a typical Romney supporter does, start bashing Sarah for NO reason. That is what they usually do, when they have no facts, they bash. I wonder if he would say those things to her face, HAHA who am I fooling

All this yapping about Palin having a collaborator on her book, so what? JFK’s Profiles in Courage was written by Theodore Sorensen, Hillary Clinton’s book It Takes a Village was ghost written, so was Bill Clinton’s book. Matter of fact most people who actually have full time jobs, and busy lives, don’t write their own books. McCain is one of the few politicians who acknowledged the fact that his book was a collaborative effort, almost everyone else falsely claims credit as if they really wrote their own book. I give Palin credit for admitting that her book will be a collaborative effort, she’s very busy, Governor, mother, wife, grandmother, when exactly would she have time to write an entire book in less than a year. From what I’ve read she has been keeping journals for years, plus she’s written about 20,000 words already in addition to the journals. Lynn Vincent will read the journals, read the pages Palin’s already written, about 40-50, and do a lot of interviewing, and between the two of them they will produce a great book.

She’s a collaborator - not a ghostwriter. And...I’d appreciate it if you’d not blaspheme.

Calling her an idiot among other things will not rally people to your cause. Grow up.

Collaborator = someone else is writing the book.

Real writers have editors. Semi-literate celebrities have collaborators.

Face it. She can't write a book on her own. She's sttuuuuuuppppiiiiidddd.

I suspect you're right about her inability to write the book. She's a busy governor. I'm not, however, convinced that she's stupid.

Having said that, I think I understand why you hate her.

When I see comments from people like yourself, I always like to look at your personal page. Not surprising to see you share nothing of your background, not even the state you hail from.
You hide behind your rock and lash out with nasty rhetoric, hoping to influence the great unwashed masses.
You are the problem, not the answer. I seriously doubt someone like yourself truly supports anyone on the conservative side, perhaps you are a lib plant.

I'm posting with my real name.

And yeah, I'm a 'lib plant.' Google will totally back that up.

Laura Ingraham: Sarah Palin is the Only Republican with Star Power

Michael Reagan on Palin: ‘Dad reborn; only this time he’s a she’

Welcome Back, Dad

Wednesday night I watched the Republican National Convention on television and there, before my very eyes, I saw my Dad reborn; only this time he’s a she.
And what a she!

In one blockbuster of a speech, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin resurrected my Dad’s indomitable spirit and sent it soaring above the convention center, shooting shock waves through the cynical media’s assigned spaces and electrifying the huge audience with the kind of inspiring rhetoric we haven’t heard since my Dad left the scene.

That speech was mostly written before she was selected, and she didn't write it.

It doesn't matter. This far our last time, everyone was crazy for George 'Macaca' Allen.

Ann Coulter has it right - Palin isn't ready for primetime in 2012.

I think Rush was being polite. I don't really care what Laura Ingraham's opinion is, and Michael Reagan can DIAF.

If you want a woman who has got what it takes, look at Liz Cheney.
