Thursday was supposed to be the highlight of the year for more than 100 kindergarteners from Stafford County, Va. They got up early and took a chartered bus to the White House for a school field trip. But when they arrived, all the 5-year-olds got was a lesson in disappointment.

Sorry kids, no hope.
Well, they were babies born alive so have no value.
How dare these would-be abortions show up late for Zero? Had Zero been President during the last two terms, these rugrats might’ve been a statistic...
The adults didn't do their job and are trying to deflect the fault to the White House.
The empty suit was afraid he would not be the center of attention.
Besides he was not going to get any money or favors from meeting them.
He learned well from Der Fuhrer.
Hitler was always late for his speeches, it helped to build up the tension.
If this was the Bush administration there would be hell to pay.
“Read the article. The group was late for their tour. The White House says they were an hour late and the group says 10 minutes. “
So who’s telling the truth? The Obama White House has been known to gloss over situations before.
It doesn’t matter to me whether it was 10 minutes or an hour. That’s a very tightly scheduled place. You need to be on time, even if the President isn’t.
Narcissism, it is all about OBAMA isn’t it?
;-)
You want disappointment check out this story from the inauguration, where a busload of people from Mass. wanted to witness history. Bus broke down...took way too long to get a replacement bus...and there was an eerie silence come noontime when The One took office and these people were
still far from their destination.

>>>First, a mechanic couldn’t figure out what was wrong, then the company couldn’t secure another bus - standard procedure in such a case - to take its customers the rest of the way. New York State officials eventually got the bus off the highway and had the passengers taken to a motel.
By the time they were moving again, it was obvious that the inauguration was going to happen without them.
>>>”There was an eerie quiet on the bus at 12:01,” Williams said. “Because of the reality of the fact we had missed it was there. I don’t know where we were, exactly.”
>>Eventually, a New York-based bus company provided a bus for the rest of the journey. By the time they got to Washington, around 2 p.m., Barack Obama was sworn in and the trip was rendered anticlimactic. Williams ate at a Red Lobster with her children, bought a few souvenirs, and got back on the bus for a sad trip home.
>>>Kevin Sheehan, Crystal Transport general manager, was apologetic yesterday when he finally addressed what had happened.
>>>”It was an absolutely sad problem,” Sheehan said. “It was a 3-inch hose, and it should have been fixed in 15 minutes. We couldn’t reach the people who were supposed to be fixing it.”
Well, so they were late. If the President was busy with the Steelers, he damned well could have sent one of his staff out to the gate to show these kids around the White House.
And if he didn’t have time for them, maybe the staff could have introduced them to Bo.
I simply can’t imagine George and Laura Bush doing something like this.
If the kids were from Stafford, VA they were probably white, middle class kids. This is a fairly conservative area. I wonder if the WH staff would have let a bus of DC or Hampton Roads kids in late? Think of the bad PR over 150 minority students crying.
The kids from a conservative county can cry all they want apparently, it won’t get them in.
Exactly.
