Guts and grace BOOKS: WORLD’s Lynn Vincent teams up with Sarah Palin on a book that promises to set the record straight about the Alaska governor’s personal and political life | Mickey McLean

After last week’s announcement that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin would pen a memoir to set the record straight about her personal and political life, HarperCollins revealed Thursday that WORLD Magazine Features Editor Lynn Vincent has been signed on as Palin’s collaborator.

The book, not yet titled, will be co-published by HarperCollins imprint Harper and HarperCollins-owned Zondervan and is scheduled for release in the spring of 2010.

During her 10 years as a senior writer and features editor for WORLD, Vincent has covered politics, culture, and hot-button social issues such as abortion for the biweekly news magazine. She has also specialized in narrative journalism.

“Lynn has been WORLD’s best writer of action stories ranging from shots fired in a Texas church to raging fires on California hillsides,” said WORLD Editor in Chief Marvin Olasky. “She combines guts and grace, as does Sarah Palin, so the book should be outstanding.”

Lynn Vincent is a great writer for WORLD magazine, and the timing of this, coming out in spring of 2010, should cause this book to do very well.

“Guts and grace” — Well, there’s your title right there. Perfectly describes Governor Palin.

Sarah need not explain anything to me in a book. She is trustworthy and good. Nothing she says or writes will ever bring the evil left to like her. Evil always hates good. That will not change.

I hope that it will bring others who only saw and heard what the MSM wanted them to during the election. There are many people who still don’t understand the how the MSM lies (I’m thinking of my elderly mother for one thing, who is not really liberal but has watched the Big Three for years and we can’t convince to watch FOX, I know there are many people like that still.) These people are still totally brainwashed by the left. If you ask them about their principles they sound conservative, but when you ask about what is going on in the world, they are totally confused by the MSM spin.

Maybe people like that who might read this book and change their minds. You are right, the evil, hard left will not, but it is the uninformed middle that I hope will read the book and find out the truth.

My bet is that the book will be a best seller based on pre-release orders, and will stay on the best seller list for months. You know for a fact that this will be the most closely scrutinized book written in modern times. Every period, coma, and quotation mark will be examned. For that reason along, I believe that this book will be one of the most finely crafted books in many many years, because Palin knows that everyone will be examining it trying to trip her up on something.

Yes I also hope some in the middle politically or the uninformed could be swayed by Gov.Palin’s book. Not counting on very many changing their mind though. I loved Sarah after her first national speech.

I cannot understand how any Amercian (at least those who were not brainwashed in liberal schools) could possibly hate Sarah. I think most Liberals hate her in part because she willingly chose to have Trig, as any moral person would, and they also hate that Bristol chose life in a different situation, when many on the left just choose death for any child that is not convienient.

At the grocery check out this afternoon I saw People magazine’s cover with Bristol Palin holding her child. I knew better than to leaf through the magazine, let alone buy it. Didn’t even touch the thing. I am sure they put their MSM spin on it. Mother and child were radiant on the cover though.

It kinda takes the glow off, though, when the pull quote they put on the cover makes it appear Bristol thinks she’s holding the biggest “mistake” in the world. You don’t even have to pick up the rag to get a feel for the bile within.

Ah yes, I remember that now. If I were the Palins I wouldn’t even deal with the likes of People magazine or most other main stream publications. When American Choppers had Sarah on during their Alaska show, the editors cut the video of them with Sarah in a way that was not complimentary, but was edited to make her appear as not the sharpest pencil in the drawer. I was very disappointed they did that to her. I don’t think it was the intention of the Teutel family, but was done by those who produce the show. Sarah is just such an outstanding person to me, I liked her right away. I wish her more success, and I hope it’s on a national scale in the future. I’d trust her with everything. Dick Cheney was so wonderful today in his speech. If his ticker were better, he as prez and Sarah as VP would be wonderful. Just dreaming.Mr.Cheney is another outstanding American. How soundly I’d sleep if he were president.
