The good news is the current sovereignty rumblings in several states, Montana, Texas, etc...and even California seems to be awakening.

The possibility of sovereignty of individual states was forever decided by Lincoln's war. Now, whatever few rights individual states might still have is decided by the Federal Courts, not by the states and not by the people.
