The kids who play this “game” are the same sort of kids who used to lick the tether-ball pole during the middle of Canadian winter back in the 1960’s, leaving behind little patches of tongue-leather stuck on the pole to slowly petrify and turn into stone. Stupid kids. You remember:

“Hey, Stupid kid! I’ll pay you a quarter if you lick the tetherball pole!”

Bugher said several people had been playing a game called "lighter tag," which involves squirting themselves with lighter fluid and then lighting the clothing of the person who is "it."

The tagged person beats the flames out before "tagging" another person.
