Hes got a very fixed ideology, said Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), the committees chairman, adding that other conservatives on the committee including Hensarling are more flexible than Price.
What [Price] does doesnt affect the product; it affects the message, Frank said. Hes not trying to attract Democratic votes; hes trying to embarrass Democrats.
Prices reaction to Franks assessment: One persons embarrassment is another persons accountability.
Being more flexible in Barney Frank's parlance is not a good thing. It is a code word for abandoning your values and the truth and letting the voter get the worst of it.
