Wow. Was it because of your race or because colleges tend not reach out to anyone, unless they apply? I don't see colleges helping the academic development of high school students - that's why they are colleges and not high schools. Why did you deserve any more than what everyone else in the United States had? And so sorry you were treated so badly by the academic community that you only got to go to Princeton for undergrad.

Actually, one of the great aspects of attending Princeton (NJ) public schools is that the kids have access to the University. They can go and listen to lectures, presentations or whatever, but they have to get off their butts and do it. Was a real benefit for at least one of my kids!

Odd...I’m a white male, Class of ‘76, and no one “reached out to me” until I scored 1400 on the SAT. Then lots of schools did...
