Speaking of McCain, many proclaimed they would never vote for him even if he won the GOP nomination, but almost all ended up doing just that. Face it, illegal immigration is not that big of an issue for most Republicans.
By the way, in case you haven't noticed yet, Free Republic is a conservative site for conservatives.
“Face it, illegal immigration is not that big of an issue for most Republicans.”
Face it, there are millions of Americans who want to see the border enforced, our sovereignty regained, and the flouting of our immigration laws ended. You might also want to stop to think that allowing in masses of illegals and legals to take away American jobs is not a real good way to win votes during this depression. Of course, Republicans will be unable to capitalize on that sentiment if they choose the McCainac/Lindsay Gramnesty position.
If this is the case why did congress and the President back off from their amnesty plans a few years ago when both parties supported it?
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Viking Kitty/ZOT ping list!. . . don't be shy.
Idiot. In fact, ZOTED idiot. I swore I'd never vote for McCain until he selected Sarah Palin. The morning he did and I heard her acceptance speech, I promised my support. He, lost, yet it wasn't because of her but because of him. He never represented true American values; she did. That's where you can take this vote for McCain, and that's where you can take this idea illegal immigration isn't a big issue for Conservatives (forget Republicans; this ISN'T a Republican site). We despise the idea of giving illegal immigrants free reign to our country, its laws, its prosperity, its opportunities. If the come legally, we'll welcome them. If they sneak in over the border then demand their rights we'll see they get the justice they deserve.
And, thinking about it, just what does that mean for you... ?
