I’m not sure, but I think that I am fairly close to this number.

What’s the crime for which he’s being required to post this half a million in bond?

He lives in Massachusetts.

Is it illegal to have that much ammo?
If not, this is blasphemy.
What grounds do police have to arrest someone collecting a perfectly legal product?

Why was he stopped—and what do they imagine he was going to do with the ammo, besides shoot it up?

Is there a limit to how much ammo you can legally have?

Does the average SEAL team fire that much in a year?

They think he is buying the ammunition to bring it to the Dominican Republic to sell it. Other than that, I don’t know.

If there is not something more to this story this is outrageous.
Only corrupt governments fear armed law abiding citizens...oh, this is Massachusetts.
Nevermind.

LOL!

I think I must have that much in various .22 rimfire alone. Actually over 90% of my ammo is .22. Nearly all of the .22LR fit into a single .50 cal ammo can. It is so heavy I can’t lift it. I am in the process of moving and had to have two teenage boys lift it.

I clicked the link and read the story. Apparently they think he was sending this stuff out of the country, had more than one driver’s license and was not a citizen.
