Prediction: Notre Shame University will never again win a national title in any major college sport

Henceforward, Notre Dame University should be known as Notre Shame University. I'm not a Catholic, nor am I religious at all, but I know that partial-birth abortions are one of the deepest of abominations, and that it is no part of the mission of a Catholic university to be giving honorary degrees (or honors of any sort) to champions of partial-birth abortion.

I stand by my prediction: Notre Shame University will never again win a national title in any major college sport. And even that is much too small a price to pay for selling out one's moral principles and turning a blind eye to the suffering and death of the most helpless of human beings.

Prior to 1994 (I believe I have the year right), the mural of “Touchdown Jesus” was visible from the field.

Right around that time, an upper deck of seats was added (for the greater gate income), and that view was blocked off.

They literally walled off Jesus in exchange for money.

The team has sucked ever since.

Hockey I wouldn’t include among major college sports. As for football, I’m predicting that they remain losers in perpetuity.

In obama’s defense, I don't think The Church has fully spoken on the morality of taking a baby who's survived a partial birth abortion and putting it up on the shelf of a linen closet to slowly expire.

That one could go either way.

There is no connection between moral consistency and excelling at sports.

Yeah, it’s a real moral gray area...

Even as a Catholic I have never liked Notre Dame..maybe because I was a convert and not Irish. I hope they continue to suck. Moreover I am tired of them always on national TV. Why?

I do only because it has a major professional sport mirror.

Either way, Fat Boy Weis has a solid nucleus of players he can underachieve with. Eventually I think they'll bust through.

As a Notre Dame alumnus, let me be the first to say ridiculous.

Notre Dame football struggles to be competitive with the top 30 football powerhouses for two reasons only. Notre Dame actually expects demands that it's players attend class and that they meet the minimum academic eligibility standards that are applicable to all students.

If USC, Florida, Ohio State and others had the same academic demands and requirements placed on their student-athletes, Notre Dame would again magically be competitive again.

Because someone at NBC decided back in the 70s (I think it might have been earlier) they wanted Ntre Ame on their TV stations all of the time. So when the Irish put their TV rights up to sale in the late 80s, NBC outbid everyone.

Here's a link: Ntre Ame TV contract renewal

When the original contract was made, Penn State had just announced they were joining the Big Ten so Ntre Ame was the last great independent football program in the NCAA so they cashed in. And honestly until the Bob Davie era it was a boon for NBC too.

The shame lies at the door to the Vatican. Never, in the 2,000 year of His Church, has a greater sin been showcased as in the murderer of defenseless life created in His image, then on the stage of a once admired and respected Catholic institution of higher learning. The Vicar of Christ has turned his back on the millions of souls born of human flesh.

There is one judgment at which our deeds will determine whether we are authentic Christians and whether our destinies will be heaven or hell ( Blessed Apostle Saint Matthew. 25:31-46; Acts 17:31; Blessed Apostle Saint John 5:28,29; Romans 2:7-10; 2 Blessed Apostle Saint Peter 3:3-13 ).

May God have mercy on the souls of those who slander the sacred teaching of His Church and the satanic usurpers of Holy Office.

They won’t win a football national title until they have exceptions to their entrance requirements.
They don’t have a player on their team that could start for the University of Florida (2009 National Champs).
I’m not a Gator fan but I know talent when I see it and the Irish “have the need for speed”.
