Park workers fired after urinating in Old Faithful

CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Two seasonal Yellowstone National Park concession workers have been fired after a live webcam caught them urinating into the Old Faithful geyser. Park spokesman Al Nash said a 23-year-old man on Tuesday was fined $750 and placed on three years of unsupervised probation for urinating, being off trail in a restricted area and taking items from the area. The man also was banned from Yellowstone for two years. The second employee's case is pending

I think it was more for doing it in front of a live WEBCAM, instead of the concerns about urinating into a geyser.

Also, IIRC, the person in question was ‘stealing’ from the park.

I laughed when I first saw this, but it really was a stupid stunt. People have just disappeared into the ooze while walking off the paths at Yellowstone.

Just as Kendall Bumpass who lost a leg in a mudpot in 1865 near Mt. Lassen. The area is now named “Bumpass Hell.” Beautiful place if you can’t make the trip to Yellowstone.

There are about 1,000 earthquakes a year in Yellowstone. Some of them will knock you off your feet and to the ground. You don’t want to be standing over Old Faithful, real close to the edge, when that happens... LOL...
