Yes, yet I remain shocked over what I saw and heard today.
Part of this is me venting out of complete disappointment. I haven’t been in a Catholic Church in over four decades except a couple weekends ago to see one of my granddaughters receive her first Communion.
For a good long time I have been longing to return to the Church and I recently found a Catholic discussion forum to search for answers that may help me decide.
A fellow FReeper, whom I have great respect and admiration for, caused me to begin the journey— without him knowing it, when he shared with FR his moving adventures of this past Christmas.
After todays disgusting display of hypocrisy, I doubt that I will ever return to the Church. I am a very strong person in many ways and always have been, but not on this. God may forgive those that support and continue to MURDER babies, but with all that is known about abortion today, I don’t know how to and I have no inclination to learn.
So now, I am going to go work on building a chicken coop...

The Church is made of men, who make mistakes.
You have given up your opportunity to share in the Body and Blood of Christ.
If you don’t believe that, then yes, you need to be somewhere else.
Personally, I am disappointed that the Vatican only spoke out and did not do something. But the Lord works in mysterious ways. Something will come of it.
